2006 Cranberry Festival King and Queen

Twelve King and Queen Candidates competed for the 2006 Cranberry Festival King & Queen Titles. All are juniors at local area schools and were interviewed by three Festival judges, County Commissioners: Susan Smith, Larry Horn and Gary Hutchinson. Each candidate also completed an essay on “Why I would like to be Festival Queen / King”. They also were graded on their community related interests, school and extra-curricular activities, and employment experience. The Talent Show portion of the event took place at the Christian Life Auditorium on Thursday, Sept 28th and allowed each of the contestants to perform a talent of their choice in front of the three judges and the public. Once the talent scores were tallied and added to their previous scores, the 2006 Cranberry Festival Queen and King were crowned and each were presented a basket of gifts from local merchants.
