2005 Cranberry Festival Art Show
"Best of Show" Awards

Cranberry Festival Best of Show Achievement Awards were awarded for both the adult and youth divisions. Sue Padalino, of Franklin won the adult division Best of Show award for her enhanced digital photo entry entitled "Freaky Flower".  Nick Joyce a senior at Christian Life Academy was awarded the youth Best of Show Award for his 3-Dimensional entry of a stained glass sailboat.

Shelby Mohnkern won Youth People's Choice award for her Enhanced Digital Photography entry entitled "Reflection in a Mirror". 

There were over 160 adult and youth art entries along with a special nature photography presentation Friday evening by John M. Karian a local professional nature photographer. "The Art Show was a new event added to the 2005 Cranberry Festival and our first year was a huge success" stated Holly Jarzenski-Berlin, the 2005 Cranberry Festival Art Show Chair.

To Participate - Print the Entry Form and Release Agreement and submit together as described on the entry form, or you may pick up entry forms at Computer Showcase in Seneca and/or at the Venango County Chamber of Commerce in Oil City.

Guest Artist - We are proud to announce that John Karian, a professional nature photographer, will be doing a guest presentation of his work.  He will present a slideshow of his photographs with tips for taking better nature pictures.  This unique event will be held Friday evening (Sept 23rd, 2005) from 7pm-8pm in the Christian Life Building auditorium.  It is open to the public and is free of charge.  For a preview of John's work visit his website at www.wetlandsplendors.com.
